Trip highlights include trekking our closest relatives, the chimpanzees
Day 1: Kampala to Kibale
Early start as you leave the city and travel to the countryside amidst the lush green vegetation and tea plantations.
Arrive at your accommodation and relax from the long drive.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking
Today you will wake up early and after breakfast be transferred to Kanayanchu Headquarters for briefing.
Afterwards you will begin your trek. After the briefing, you will enter the forest and start trekking to lookout of the chimpanzees which takes about 2 to 5 hours. During the trekking, you will be able to view different wildlife species, other primate species, different bird species, tree species many others. Once the chimpanzees are located you will be permitted an hour to spend with them in their natural habitat thus giving you a chance to watch them feed, breastfeed, hunt, rest, play, fight, learn about their habits, and behaviors, take photos many others.
Day 3: Kibale to Kampala
Relaxed breakfast and then drive back to Kampala. Arrive late afternoon for end of trip or continue to Entebbe targeting your flight back home.
